MY WORLD

A cute flower could be my beautiful garden;
A clear aquarium could be my blue ocean;
A lovely pet could be my amazing zoo;
A tasty fruit could be my dearest orchard;
A pretty doll could be my wonderful family;
A trusty friend could be my whole world!

MARIA AND DOROTHY

In a village there lives a girl named Maria. She is 5 years old. She is a good girl. She likes to read many books. She also likes to write. Always she is first in her school. Her teachers, friends, neighbours and parents like her. But one of her classmate Dorothy does not like her.

One day Dorothy painted on her arms herself. It was like a pinching mark. When she finished the painting she went near a tree and sat under the tree. Then she acted like crying.

The maths teacher came there and asked her “what happened, Dorothy? Why are you crying?”

“Ngyee ngyee. Teacher, Maria pinched on my arms. ngyee ngyee .” Dorothy said.

No, Maria will not do it. Teacher whispered herself. She got an idea. “Come Dorothy I will apply water on it”

“No, teacher, it’s ok, no problem.”

“Why do you fear? Don’t be afraid. Come with me.” Teacher slowly pulled her and walked to the toilet.

When the teacher applied water on her arms, the mark disappeared.

“What is this Dorothy?”

“Nothing mam…. I’m… I’m sorry mam”

“OK. Now I give you an excuse. Don’t repeat this.” Dorothy felt ashamed.

When she reached home, her mother asked her, “I got a call from your maths teacher. Why are you doing such bad things, Dorothy?”

“I am sorry mom. All are appreciating Maria always. But nobody tell about me. I feel jealous and angry.” Dorothy said.

“If you behave like this, how the others can appreciate you?”

“I promise you mom, I will never behave like this again. I will try to be a good girl.” Her mother hugged and kissed her.

One week later, the supervisor came to the class and said, “My dear students, the school has decided to give a scholarship to a child each month. This month’s scholarship goes to Maria. She will get 500 Dirhams as scholarship. Next month it will be to anyone of you who behaves and studies well”

Dorothy thought, “I will try to get it next time.”

MY SWEET UNCLE

When I'm sad.....
with some kind words,
he makes me happy!

When I'm scared......
with a warm care,
he gives me courage!

When I'm wrong.....
with a friendly mood,
he corrects me!

When I'm happy.....
with some stories and songs,
he supports me!

He's Understanding
He's Noble
He's Caring
He's Liberal
He's Extraordinary

It's none other than you
my sweet 'UNCLE'!!!

THE MOON TRIP

I wore my space suit earlier. My pappa and mamma were getting ready. Although I was excited, I was little scared too. My pappa entered into the cockpit of the spaceship. I sat near my mamma and fastened the seat belt.
3....2....1......Start..... I hold my mamma tightly.

Within seconds, my fear flew away. I experienced a great excitement.

After some time, we arrived on the moon. I was really puzzled by the sight of the moon. When I look from the Earth, it is so cute and soft. But, actually, there were full of rocks and craters. We felt weightless. The Earth was like a picture while watching from there.

I saw some foot prints there. But I could not recognize the foot print of Neil Armstrong. Anyway I wrote my name there. Those who visit moon can see my name there in future. We took some photos also. I collected some pieces of rocks to show my friends.

While returning to the Earth, the space ship's speed increased suddenly. My pappa contacted the control room and they helped us to return to the normal speed. We arrived back safely.

Even if I'm happy and excited in my uncle moon's house, I cannot stay without my mother Earth.

REAL WEALTH

I am a very rich man. But I did not have a kind heart.

One day, I saw a man walking on the street with torn clothes and a dirty plate in his hands. He came near me and patted on his stomach. He begged me for food. I pushed him and went away.

The next day, I saw him again. He just smiled at me with his yellow teeth. I turned my face to the other side. After a while, when I turned again, I saw him helping a very old man to cross the noisy and crowded street. I felt shame on myself.

I realized that the real wealth is not money or jewels, but a kind heart.

A PAGE FROM MY DIARY

Wow.... I am really very happy today!

Since a long time, I’m thinking about a matter. But I have never told this to anyone yet. Today I shared that message in a hidden folder in my brain with my class.

During the second period, one of the housekeeping uncles came to my class with a memo. All of us were doing our class works and we continued with it. The very next period, our principal and supervisor came to our class and every single child stood up and wished them. We did not forget to thank them also while they leave. My doubt again aroused and I decided to ask it to my teacher.

“Ma’am, May I ask you one doubt? Pardon me if my doubt is silly.”

“Of course you can” she said.

“Ma’am, when someone comes to our class we used to wish them. But why don’t we wish these uncles who do a lot of help to us?”

She smiled at me and shared this with the class. One of the students in my class murmured that it’s not important to wish them. No one said anything and we continued our class work. After two or three periods, one uncle came to our class and our whole class stood up and wished him. We all could see the brightness in his face mixed with excitement and happiness. I was really really really so happy. And this is my happiest and most favourite day in my life.

I hope that our whole school will follow this forever.

THE RAINBOW IN ME

The rainbow that makes my life beautiful;
The dew drops those pat me when I am sad;
The roses those give fragrance to my wishes;
The stars those daily take me to paradise;
My pupils those explore the world for me.

In my each heartbeat,
I like to present them a gift-
a palace of love!

My pa, ma, grandpa,
grandma, uncle and aunt-
the light rays those lead me forward.
And we all lead a gifted boy-
my sweet little cousin!

NOTHING IS PRECIOUS THAN YOU!

Even if I have a beautiful crown,
a huge palace,
a necklace of diamonds
and hundreds of silk dress;
they are not much valuable for me.

Even if I am blind,
don’t have a house,
not enough food
and nothing to play;
I don’t bother about it.

It’s that because
I will never get
someone like you.
I can never forget you,
I can never leave you.

you always encourage me;
you always give a smile to me;
you share everything with me;
you never try to tease me;
you console me when I’m sad.

I am so lucky
to have you as my best friend.
I’m proud to say that
in this whole world
“nothing is precious than you!”

*I dedicate this poem to my best friend niranjana*
